TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Russia’s newly appointed Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov and Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh will hold talks on Monday, the Russian Energy Ministry announced.
“Yes, the meeting is taking place on Monday,” the ministry confirmed when asked about a potential meeting between the two ministers, TASS reported on Saturday.

Shulginov was appointed as Russia’s energy minister in November, when his predecessor Alexander Novak became a deputy prime minister.

A source at the Russian ministry said the meeting has been arranged so that the two ministers can get more familiar with each other and confer on oil-related issues.
