Over 4.1 mln coronavirus tests have been conducted in Russia so far, the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing said in a statement on Sunday.

“More than 4.1 mln coronavirus tests have been conducted in Russia,” the statement reads.

According to the watchdog, 174,000 tests were carried out in the past 24 hours.

The watchdog added that 215,000 people remained under medical observation over the coronavirus.

To date, a total of 124,054 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Russia, with 15,013 patients having recovered from the virus. Russia’s latest data indicates 1,222 fatalities nationwide. Moscow accounts for the majority of cases (62,648). Earlier, the Russian government set up an Internet hotline to keep the public updated on the coronavirus situation.
